Snow Day

I'm hoping to dust this blog off soon and start posting until then. Until I do, here's a short video Larry shot during our recent snowfall. Snow is pretty rare around here and made the morning chores more interesting. And a whole lot colder!

I'm so jealous that you got snow! And you didn't just get snow. You got deep, ground-covering snow. We just got flurries. It looks beautiful. It looks like your animals had a good time in it too.

It was nice until it melted. Then we ended up with deep, ground-covering mud.

Snow is a little bit like Christmas. It is always more fun for the kids.

For the adults, it is something to shovel off the walk, scrape off the car, and then it slowly melts over a week's time and you have to dig it out of the wheel wells on your car, which is slowly turning black from all of the dirt and slush, and finally, after it all melts and then everything dries out, you have to sit in line at the car wash to wash all the dirt and salt off of it.

But it is peaceful while it falls especially if you are out in the woods and the huge icicles hanging off the gutter are cool too.

Very beautiful, great video, the music was perfect.

I loved the snow, John R. Even when my fingers were frozen and the sidewalk iced up and I was beating the ice in the troughs with a stick.
The only part I didn't like was the melting-and-turning into slush part. That sucked.

Thanks, Mickey-T. My technical advisor, who is a smart-alecky 11-year-old preferred some pop tune for our video but I overruled her.

Oh, the power of adulthood....

Very nice video! I love the little furry pig, and the pony with the coat, oh and all of the critters. You do have your work cut out for you. Up here our snow comes in October and lasts until April or May, with only occasional melting in between. When it finally goes in the Spring there is a wealth of interesting things to be found beneath it, mud being the least offensive.

Hi how are you? I was looking through your blog and found it interesting and wanted to leave you a comment.

I have an invitation for you to come and visit my art blog here in San Diego Southern California. I started this blog in an attempt at finding a creative way to find new friends, and explore my artistic skills through bloging.

I have since found many new friends from an international audience. I hope you will stop by and enjoy the various labels and music videos I design for my art blog. See you soon :)

Wilber got bitten by a baby copperhead. Swollen puss-filled wound, with one tooth mark going all the way to the bone.

Now it is three days later and the pussing has stopped, but the deep hole is just like cauterized flesh.

Hydrogen peroxide, nerosporin. He'll be back to normal in a week.

You were right. Nasty, but very survivable.

Just thought I'd share.

Hoping you get and read email re this blog. The Palin Deception site does not allow anon comments but I cannot get google to accept my submissions therefore... seems like you might be part of Audrey's crew... I posted about a wasilla myspace site that tons of pictures in the spring. If you are part of Audrey's PD crew, drop me a line in the comment section of an older post; it will show up in my daily comments but no one will know it is there.

So is this blog dead?

It is hard to see it anymore through all of the dust and cobwebs.

No posts on Hopey McChangePants after all of the energy you put into getting him elected.

Really, Sarah Palin is dead nationally and she knows it. Why all the energy on her?

You are right, though, she could end it by releasing the birth records, sort of the same way Obama could end his little birth problem.

Miss ya, sista.

Wow, post a snarky comment to draw you out and nothing.

It's been more than a month.

I guess this blog is dead. Palin Deception is SO much more fun.

At least publish an obituary so I'll stop coming by occasionally to check it out.
