The Graduate

It would be pretty hard to top this past Mother's Day. My beautiful daughter, Jessica, graduated from the university on Saturday, and celebrating her big day was a wonderful experience. She's worked so hard, and we are all so proud. She was so lovely, with her gown decorated by the painted handprints of the students she'd come to know and love during her tenure as a student teacher.

On Sunday, Jess, her fiancée Brandon and my oldest son Wesley came to spend the afternoon with me. It's rare these days for me to get all five of my kids in the same place. It was a full house, and so much fun.

I have more pictures of the graduation. Lots, lots more pictures. And I will try to post some later after I finish a project I'm working on today. If you want to see all of them, you'll have to sign up as my friend on MySpace since it's just easier to load tons of photos there.

In the meantime, I hope everyone else had a lovely weekend, too.

Checking in on Thimscool...

Are you OK? I see there was some bad weather in your neck of the woods last night. I lost your email addy but wanted to make sure you and yours weren't in harms way.

To everyone else, sorry for the lag in posting. So much is going on. My oldest daughter, Jessica, graduates - with honors - from the university this weekend. Here at home we've been in the middle of some projects, which include preparing for the addition of a couple of dairy goats. And of course, both the farmer's market and my writing work are keeping me busy.

If I don't get a chance to post before Sunday, I hope those of you who are mothers will have a happy Mother's Day. And those of you who aren't, I hope you'll hug your mother if you can. She won't be around forever.
